"I have to work in the morning " Mia muttered between kisses, Chad's arms still wrapped tightly around her as they kissed in the darkness of her front porch.
"So do I." Chad murmured lazily. "I just can't seem to care right now."
"Chad " Mia said, putting a hand on the center of his chest and pushing him away slightly. "Really."
He gently took one of her hands in his and raised it to his lips, Mia's jaw dropping slightly as she watched him, his eyes never leaving hers as he trailed kisses over the back and then over her palm. "Am I forgiven?"
"For what?" She said breathlessly, her eyes still locked on his.
"All of it."
"I dunno. Am I forgiven?"
"For what?" He echoed.
"All of it."
Chad smiled suddenly, his grin lighting up the darkness. "We have issues."
Mia laughed, wishing more than anything they could go inside and 'make up', but knowing that would be a mistake. Yet, her mind couldn't seem to focus on anything but the thought of them in bed together. Again. Chad felt her tense at the thought and cocked his head slightly, regarding her.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing."
"I'm not coming inside." He said softly, as though reading her thoughts. "Can I see you?" He asked instead.
Mia eyed him for a moment. "You can see me now." She said evenly, without a hint of teasing.
Chad watched her, a smile slowly forming on his face. "You flirting with me, Maxwell?"
Mia blushed, her façade dropping. "Very poorly, but yes."
"Very cutely." Chad amended, dropping a kiss onto the tip of her nose. "I'll call you tomorrow."
"Okay." Mia said softly as he kissed her again, then disappeared into the darkness.

"So, who won?" Jimmie asked simply.
"I'm pretty sure I did, but I'll get back to you. Faye must be rubbing off on Mia - she's playing hard to get."
"I hate that."
"Me too."
"Girls can't live with 'em " Jimmie began.
"Can't kick 'em to the curb." Chad finished with a laugh.

"You busy tomorrow?"
"Maybe." Mia smiled into her phone as she heard Chad sigh.
"You know, when I said you needed a little confidence, I didn't mean a little confidence with a big shot of Torturing Chad." Chad muttered but with a grin Mia could hear through the phone line.
"I'm practicing." Mia said simply.
"Practicing what, exactly?" Chad asked.
"How to be a heartbreaker." Mia explained.
"Just wear those overalls on our date - they break my heart every time." Chad teased.
"Why??" Mia asked, suddenly ashamed of her wardrobe.
"Break my heart every time you're in them and I can't help but picture getting you out of them." Chad smiled.
"I'll talk to you later, Chad."
