I really need to stop thinking about Vermont.

I really need to stop thinking about him.

I really need to finish this article, get it to press, and get on to my next assignment.

Which, no doubt, will put me back into the orbit of Winston Cup.

I haven't called him.

I haven't seen him.

I only hope he got it.

"Madelyn…great work on the JG interview." My editor says with a grin. "Exactly what we were looking for."

"Good to hear, boss." I say happily, proud of the article I'd put together with the short interview Jeff and I did have before disaster struck. "Any changes to it I need to know about?"

"No. It's going to press as is. Great work."

"Thanks." I say, heaving a sigh of relief. At least "JG" won't have anything to be pissed about this time, I hope.

"Listen, I think we're gonna send you to the track this weekend - we'd like an article on Bobby Labonte. He's really gained popularity with a new crew of fans, and we'd like you to talk to him. Get yourself down there, take a few days, and have a rough on my desk by early next week. Can you do it?"

"Sure." I say, grabbing the file folder he hands to me filled with bio information on Bobby. "Not a problem."

"Great. See you in a few days."

I really shouldn't be missing him this much.

I really shouldn't be thinking about that blizzard so much.

I really shouldn't be wishing we'd been snowed in for a few more weeks.

Work. Just concentrate on work. What else can a girl do?

"Hi, this is Madelyn Ray calling. I'd like to schedule an interview with Bobby sometime during the weekend. Does he have any available press time? We're hoping to do an article on…"
