Alexa slammed open Robby's front door, eliciting a bark from Phoenix and a "what the hell!" from Robby as he jogged out of his kitchen at the sound of the door slamming behind her.

"You're used to owning things, controlling things." Alexa spat, her temper flaring. "You don't own me."

"Lexie, what…"

"You want to keep seeing me, you better understand that. I'm not some toy for you to play with, order around whenever you want. I don't like being pushed. I do things on my own terms, and no one else's." Alexa continued.

"Lex…"

"I may be younger than you, but I'm not a pushover and I'm not stupid, and I'm not going to be ordered around at your every whim. So you better learn to fucking deal with it. If you want something, ask. Don't order. Don't tell. And sure as fuck don't go behind my back and think it's cute. It's not." Alexa shrilled before taking a deep breath and glaring at Robby with her eyes glittering like diamonds.

Robby opened his mouth to speak, but thought better of it and closed it again.

"Understand this, or it's over." Alexa said, her voice deep and angry.

Robby ducked his head and shoved his hands in his pockets. Taking a deep breath, he looked up again and met her eyes, wincing at the anger evident in them. He judged whether it was safe for him to speak, and when Alexa crossed her arms and said nothing, he decided to take the plunge.

"Lexie, I'm sorry. I'm sooo sorry. I just…I wanted to…I want you here so bad. I want to be with you all the time. It drives me crazy to think of you across town in that apartment when I'm right here, and it kills me even more to think of you there when I'm on the road. I like picturing you here. In my house. In…in our house." He said hesitantly. "I want you here, whether I'm here or not. I want this to be home. You're home to me."

"Robert." Alexa said evenly and Robby blushed. She only called him Robert when he was out of line or pissing her off. "You can't go around dictating what you want. You can't always get what you want. You can't tell me what to do and expect it to be okay. And you can't go behind my back. It's disrespectful, it's out of line, and it sure as fuck won't get you what you want."

Robby looked down, but said nothing, knowing that every word she said was true, and that he had probably torpedoed any chance of getting what he wanted.

Her. In his house. All the time. Their house.

"If you want something, ask." Alexa said. "Duh."

"Alexa…" Robby began as she turned to put her hand on the doorknob.

She cut him off with an icy look from over her shoulder. "I'm not moving in with you." She said, her voice dangerously quiet.

Robby slumped as she ripped open the door, and winced again as it slammed shut behind her. Moments later, he looked up again as the door reopened.

"I'm incredibly busy this week." Alexa said, no hint of anger in her voice.

"I know." Robby whispered, silently begging any and all gods not to let her break up with him, not to leave him.

"I'll move in next week." She said simply before closing the door again.

Alexa laughed on the front stoop as she hear a scream of joy from inside the house.
